Probably it's been long forgotten by now, since I'm so late in sharing; but, here's a pic taken after my partner trimmed off about an inch back in Oct., --- thank God for talented dog groomers (amazing that a professional dog groomer can be trusted w/ trimming long hair more that a lot of actual human hair-stylists - lol)!! Prior to this recent trim, the last professional trim I had before this one was way back in the Spring of '04... At the rate I'm going, I guess my next one won't be until 2010!
Anyway, I asked him to shape it in back so it flowed into a natural-looking V-shape (it's hard to tell that in this pic; but, that's because I'm tilting my head back a little, to see if my mane can still touch my belt...)....
I'm probably pretty near to my terminal length, because my growth rate seems way slower these days (as well as thins out a lot at the ends). But, IF it will grow any longer, then... Onward and Upward! Uh, i - i - i mean, "Onward & DOWWARD!!"

This braid seemed a bit odd-looking to me. My partner was being "experimental" w/ my hair, --- and the braid turned out half-French / half-traditional (insert nationality of choice)...
You can really notice the tapering here, though, --- evidence of how most guy's hair gets thinner and thinner as it travels down one's back...

My partner and I have 4 cats, --- one of which is a longhair (this being her)! She's bugging me right now, in fact...
Hope you enjoyed seeing these pics from a couple of months ago (and sorry over being so late)!

Your hair looks great, Ken. The natural waves give it some nice body, and it seems like it's meant to blow in the wind. Love the cat, too!

The braid looks great and I'm glad that you posted the picture, because, I saw a guy yesterday that had hair exactly like yours except he was blad on top and he had a braid just like the one that you have in the pic. I think that it looked very good on him and makes me wonder why that more guys that are bald on top don't do like this guy was doing. It looked quite classy in my opinion.

Looking good Ken! I was wondering recently how short the Y2K cut was, good way of indicating how quickly I might reach your length?
As the saying goes, "A picture paints a thousand words!" (er, someth'n' like that)...
This pic was taken about 6 weeks after that devatating haircut (the haircut itself happened on the first day of summer, 2000)... And to any short-hairs lurking: YES, i totally understand that I look "good" in short hair; but, that doesn't mean I *like* it short, --- any more than I like brussel sprouts!!
- Ken
Thanks Ken, in that case lets all hope you never enjoy a brussel sprout!

Hi Ken,
I really admit to laughing at your brussel sprouts comment! The odd thing is that I despised them as a child, when my mom always served them during our tradtional holiday dinners. Lately, although I admit that I am not a huge fan, I certainly don't mind a few, and somehow they seem to be a bit of a "tradition" when my brother has me over for the Christmas turkey dinner with all the trimmings. (however, I STILL enjoy the turkey itself a lot more, and REALLY enjoy the Christmas pudding after the meal!)
As Mom used to say, "eat your brussel sprouts"!

Hi Ken,
I actually like brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, and all those vegetables, but I can't say I like the short look. Don't take that the wrong way; you're a good looking guy with hair at any length, but BETTER with your long locks, much better.

Just kiddin'! LOL! You look fine in that pic, but the long hair is so much nicer.

One other option is to pull your pants up to your chest
that will make your hair reach your belt too. As long as your hair is I can't tell the difference with an inch missing.
If you choose the option above we will want pics
LOL

Hi Ken,
As always, it is a delight whenever you post new photos! Your trim when very well indeed, and it IS longer than I remember from last time, so I am sure you can accomplish some more growth before hitting terminal. Your length has always been an inspiration, and hopefully, I will accomplish your length some day.
Keep everything growing,
David
Looks great Ken. I think trimming definitely has a place and yours turned out well. I'm planning on a trim myself in a few weeks. As always, your mane is magnificent!
Great trim Ken!
It's probably much better that you're not going to a human hair stylist. Those darned humans will cause problems every time.

Wow Ken!
That truly is some mighty impressive hair. I love it! Looks like the trim worked out great. By the way, you look a bit slimmer in these photos, been putting off some weight? Well, take er' easy Ken and have a happy new year.
Awesome mane you look more like a wild rocker from the back than our wild cowboy LOL
Even did a great job trimming he is very talented with two leggeds as well :)
Happy New Year Ken!
