Yeah, says it all in the topic title. The other week, we all went to a show, and one of my father's friends picked us up in the car, she recently said that she thought I was a woman when we walked up to the car. Ironic thing is this woman has short hair, and looks more butch than feminin.

As a woman who used to have a buzz cut and was mistaken for a boy with some regularity, I'd like to put in my 2 cents worth.
There's a difference between someone making an honest mistake and someone activly saying, "You look like a girl/boy/man/woman!" One is an accident, the other is intended to offend. I don't know all the details of your situation, but bear those points in mind when passing judgement on the person in question. I've made plenty of mistakes over the years even though I did (and still do to a lesser extent) bend the gender category rules. Some people just radiate masculine or femenine no matter what, but depending on clothing (my curves are masked by my choice of more relaxed fit clothing), style of walk, tone of voice (mine is very alto, not male but it was enough to throw people), and natural body type mistakes can happen.
Most often errors are made because someone is making a judgement at a glance, and our society has trained us that there are only two categories and those categories have distinct standards.
I tried to be sympathetic to people making an honest mistake, but I've been known to growl at those trying to be insulting. :-)

Lets just say, she picked us up a few days before Christmas from the show... and she said the comment to my face today. Over a week later.

Hey Chris
I bet she didn't mean any harm. At your age, it is easy to get confused with a woman especially if one has long/longish hair. Don't sweat it.
That's not too bad. When I shave the guys at work call me MAN CHICK! And more recently a woman online told me that I looked like a masculine woman when I am clean shaven.
Man Chick! That sounds like a third rate super hero, or something.
jeffrey.
I heard a good reply here I have used. Of course this doesn't really apply in your case.
"You must know some damn ugly women!!!"
