High!
I just watched the Costner/Reynolds movie "Rapa Nui" of 1994 about the decline of the Easter Island civilization... as it had been filmed on original location, most roles were played by native islanders, and astoundingly many of the men sported awesome long hair and beards, some even waist-long... I wonder whether it was real and if in real life, such a tradition exists on present-day Easter Island! Anyone around who recently visited the island? What about men's long hair in other parts of Polynesia?
See you in Khyberspace!

I've heard of that movie but never saw it I must go rent it or maybe buy it if it's cheap enough on Amazon.
I suspect hollywood messed with it as they do but I imagine they did have long hair as it was so common in early civilizations.
Those were the days.
