Hi everyone. Haven't been here in about a year. I see a lot of new names here.
Well here's what happened to me. Every year I would go through the hassle of having to tie my hair up or wear a rag during the warm months because we always keep the top off the Jeep and my hair was so long there's no way I could drive with it loose. So like an idiot last march I cut it. It was down to my butt and I had learned how to braid it by myself and the braid reached two thirds down my back. I always got compliments on it. My son was mad when i made the decision. Now I'm mad at myself too for doing it. I haven't had a haircut since summer and never will again.
For those of you going through the awkward stage I can sympathize with you now. Now that I've had long hair the awkward stage isn't as hard to go through though because I know what's coming and i miss it bad.

I have a Wrangler too, and while I will agree that when I had short hair there was no hassle to having the top off, I now leave the top on (or tie my mane up inside a hat) rather than even considering cutting my hair, which is almost to my waist. I love my Jeep and I love my mane - and I can enjoy both at the same time.

Back in the summer of going into 6th grade, I had neck/shoulder length hair. It was very shaggy but I sort of liked it. My mom took me to get it cut because she said "My son will NOT have long hair!" But then she let me grow it to my waist because she could concider herself a hypocrit because she was into hair metal along with my Dad back in the 80s. Now im at waist length, but I was mad at her for a while for doing that to me.
Hope this makes you feel better, but always do what you feel you want or need to do.

I feel just like you'r feeling no,James.I had grown my hair for 1 1/2 years,and it was starting on back's length,then i got it cut,stupidly.Good luck regrowing your hair!and wish me good luck on the awkward stage!Peace. :)
Thanks and good luck to you too. Just remember when you're getting strange looks because your hair is all freaky there's at least one other guy out there going through it with ya!
