Hello,
Does anyone have suggestions for dealing with long hair after showering at a gym? I know not to use a hair dryer but it isn't always so easy to towel and air dry one's hair in the midst of a busy locker room. Is it best to do a little towel drying and then tuck the hair into a cap, for further drying at home? It's January and too cold to walk outside with wet hair!
Thanks very much and Happy New Year to Everyone at this great site!

HI Johnnie,
I am at the gymn or yoga studio 5-6 times a week. I fact the same dilemma. I towel dry, brush with a rubber-tooth brush, and the use a little Studio spray to keep it in place, and walk out the door. It dries as it will, but the spray keeps it in place.
I've been doing this for YEARS, so I am fairly confident that it does not harm my hair.

Hello Bob, Thanks so much for your info. And congratulations for making it to the gym or yoga studio so often each week!
Best, Johnnie
Actually, the hassle of washing my hair at the gym is what prompted me to cut back to washing it only once a week, and my hair is much healthier as a result.
Unless your hair gets really sweaty/smelly/disgusting after your workout, you may not need to wash it. Just put it up when you shower so it doesn't get wet.
