I noticed a very long time ago that walking through a light, misty rain will make my hair look good all day. It gives it the perfect texture. The same works for snow, as I found out a few weeks ago.
Step One: Get wet.
(It was so cold that I look like I might just cry)
Step Two: Air dry.
Step Three: Be awesome.
Strange that trying to re-create these conditions artificially, like by using a spray bottle filled with water, just don't give quite the same results.
Awesome Mane ... truely an inspiration!!!
Moisture, in any form, causes my hair to get all tangled up, but, it looks like it works very well for you. Awesome hair!
jeffrey.
Try adding some aloe vera gel or juice to the spray bottle (mix it up to dissolve it completely) - that might help.
Tremendous head of hair. Thanks for sharing!
Jim
Great tip! Thanks; I'll have to try it.
You have a fantastic mane, Gudmundur. Welcome to the waist length and longer club. Keep it growing for sure.
Scott
Yes indeed, beautiful hair - and that first photograph is very artistic. I can relate to you saying you thought you might cry out there in the snowy cold. What DO we do when we have wet hair and we are outside in winter weather? Mine isn't long enough yet to wear in a bun under a hat. Any ideas?
Thanks, Johnnie
Awesome.
Gudmundur, Cool 3 step method. particularly like step 3. Awesome!
peace, jonalbear
A nice set of update pictures and your hair is looking in great condition and a beautifuil shine as well and a wonderful inspiration. Do keep it growing and I see you almost at waist length there.
Cheers,
John.B
Hi Gudmundur,
Thank you for sharing your rather cool hair "routine", and I should add that your hair is awesome! It is thick, healthy and shiny, and looks fabulous! Be sure to keep it growing.
Take care,
David
you are a true inspiration Gudmunder, how long did it take you to grow your locks that length?
btw keep on growing that hair!
The anniversary just passed without my noticing actually--it's now been seven years.
Interesting that you should mention this because for many years I lived in CT and would notice the same as you are noticing. Despite going out side with damp hair in the Winter and having it actually freeze, it always seemed to look better. I have not the faintest idea why.
Your own long hair is absolutely magnificent.
Yup my hair does that too and your right you can't get that look
with a spray bottle. I'll pass on the snow as I've seen enough
of that already.
The hair looks awesome.
Kevin
I love your hair. Can I have it? ~grin~
I agree, there ia something about the freezing-drying effect that gives even poker straight hair special oomph. Says she who usually goes out with a wet head...
