Hey everyone... I'm new to this place ( glad I found it seems like a great place to update and get advice).
The name's Alan, I'm 19 turning 20 in June; I'm Blonde and I wanna grow my hair out as long as possible.
Anyway; I cut My hair (almost completely shaved) on April 1st, 2007 and This is my 9 month progress so far.
I'll go ahead and post up the pic of the hair cut and the recent pic taken yesterday. It currently reaches the tip of my nose when pulled (front) and the sides are longer.
Please excuse the stupid faces... I tend to do that a lot.
I know that my hair has a slight wave to it and it's kinda annoying at the moment because sometimes my hair just goes crazy in the front - but with time as it gets longer and heavier it will look better (i hope). This isn't the first time I grow my hair out... in Middle school at 8th grade I had it down past my chest and I cut it short again (stupid I know) - so I wanna grow it out really long again.
Well that's it for now... by the 1 year mark in April 2008 I would love to have my hair down to my lip - that's pretty much my goal... and I'm almost there!
Hello :)
Welcome here !
Perfect hair. I'm sure you'll be able to grow it quite long.
Bye

A graet update and your hair is coming along fine and I know your in the awkward stage at the moment but by April it will look even better I'm sure.
Cheers,
John.B
Thanks everyone for the comments...
Yeah I'll just have to endure the in between stage for a while.
But yeah I hope By April or at least By my birthday in June I can tie it up.
I think I might be able to tie up the top of the hair while letting the bottom down this month or next month though (kinda like that English soccer player's hair).
I'll see how that goes.
hey bro welcome to the site always glad to see new ppl who find our site! hair looks great bro def taking care of it i can see, well keep up the great growth and cant wait to see the next update!
Thanks man...
But that's my hair on a good day...
(it looks great now since it's cold and not so humid)
But Sometimes it just goes crazy.
I'm at that stage where I either wear a hat or just deal with it.
But I'll soon be at the behind the ears stage... heh.
im the same way dude im at a lil over 9 months and i wear a baseball cap alot to hide it once it hits about a year itll be alot better shape but mines getting long pretty fast!

Hi Alan,
Welcome to the hyperboard, and I am so glad you have found our community! (You have the same name as my brother, by the way!) Your hair looks great, and you have come a LONG ways in 9 months from a buzzcut.
Keep it growing,
David
Welcome Alan,
It's great that you found us here. It's cool you decided to grow your hair back out and I'm sure it looked awesome before and will again.
Take Care
Kevin
So why did you end up cutting it in 8th grade???
I was stupid... I just wanted to cut it... and then I also joined ROTC and they made me shave it every other month. I got all depressed cause I missed my hair long.
Up until 11th grade I kept shaving it and (get ready for it) used gel on it every day - a massive ammount of it. You can guess how much that damaged my hair...
in 11th grade I decided to grow it out... i ended up cutting it all off again after 10 months because it was so damaged, puffy and really dry. So I was wearing it short for a while using a bit of oil on it to style it and then I finally decided to grow it out again; and it's so much better than it was before. Unfortunately it's not how it used to be in 8th grade... (i used to have dead straight blonde hair) now it's kinda wavy/straight... btu then again I don't know how it will come out when it's long and has weight to it. So there's still hope! :)
Other than that at the moment my hair is growing... but it's very light so the waves make my hair go crazy sometimes. I can't wait till my hair is long enough to have some strength and weight to it.
