hey everyone!!!
i just got back from Disney world with my girlfriend. living in south Florida its strange that i never really took advantage of having such an amazing place less then a 4 hour drive away. ive been to Disney world 4 times my entire life 3 of which have been in the past year and the first time when i was 3 lol. we went to epcot which was great stayed on one of the all star resorts and visited some of the other resorts which are all extremely beautiful especially the wilderness one. expect some pictures of my vacation soon all the pictures are on my girlfriends camera and we literally just got back a couple hours ago i havn't even unpacked lol. but what i really wanted to share was HOW COLD IT WAS! it was in the low 30's the whole time that we were there. to understand why thats big to me is because living in south Florida i find the low 70's to be unbearably cold lol. this was a big eye opener for me because i have for a big chunk of my life wanted nothing more then to move up north and live on a farm. i know it sounds odd but theres nothing more appealing to me then growing old on a farm having long white hair and beard driving a ratty old pick up truck playing farmer for the end of my years. although just the thought alone of an atheist in the bible belt terrifies me its a fantasy ive never been able to shake. UNTIL THIS WEEK. the cold was unbearable although it made my hair look great it was FREEEZING. to me at least there were a bunch of northerners in the pool. lol it looks like ill be looking at farmland down here sorry for rambling lol
take care everyone and happy new year
Welcome back, Kal El!
It truly is odd that you find the temperature in the low 70's cold! I am a long time, south-Floridian as well and I find the 70's warm. I think the ideal temperature for me would be the current one, 52-56. Anyhow, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at Disney. I've been to that place far too many times! As for those snowbirds bathing in the pool during that cold night, It's called heaters! Yep! Most pools in the resorts around the Disney area have heaters. That water was very warm :-)
So much for the ol' country living eh? I don't know about you but I'm used to city-life. I can't see myself living in a farm out somewhere in an isolated town :-) Then again, how much can one take! Horn boppers, traffic jams, expressways that resemble parking lots, road rage, hostility, High cost of living, Crime, etc..... So much for city life as well! LOL!
Well, you take care, Kal El. Good luck with your studies and have a happy new year.

There's farmland in California. It may occasionally get cold
but it can get hot also. And not a humid hot. And we still
have a lot of old pickups around ;). And some long hairs too!!
Nice one, i went as well in August
As you can see, the heat in EPCOT accelerated my hair growth beyond natural realms...
LOL!That's funny man! XD,is that a wig?
I hope so
Hi Kal El,
Glad you had a nice time in Disney, the last time I was there was 1974 and I think they re built it twice since then. I'll look forward to the pics
I'll tell ya there's nothing more gratifying to us northerners than
when Florida freezes. To think it got into the 30's LOL that's warm compared to the 2'F it was here two days ago. LOL.
Take care and get warm
Kevin

Pretty much what I am doing....its a great life !! Hobby Farms/Ranches can be found anywhere...Nevada will give you four seasons ranging from subfreezing to over 120 !!
Atheists abound !! HA!
I lived in Orlando when Disney was building and opened.....Great fun. It was interesting that the Disney "dress code", including haircuts was actually more stringent than the Military !!
Keep Warm
