Hi. I recently had an accident and burned my long hair in the very front so badly I decided to shave it all off and start over. I wouldn't say I like it this way, but right now I'm just glad there were no burns on my scalp, and I can regrow it. My hair was all one length, and hung just below my shoulders.
I've come to this page once or twice before, and noticed pictures of guys who shaved their heads, and posted pictures of their hair as it grew out. If anyone has any of these progress pictures, please email them to me, or repost them, because I am very curious about how my hair will look once I have grown four inches or so from the stubble I have now. I've never had my hair short on the top. I can't quite imagine how it will sit when it begins to get long.

Good to hear you have found our community again and hope we can be of some help as you start the journey of growing your hair out again. I'm glad to hear that you haven't suffered any bad burns of anything. As I know myself the smell of burning hair is not nice. Still it's nice to know that you are started it grow it our again and in a couple of years your hair will be well on they way to as it was before. You have been through it before so it should not be to bad.
There have been a couple of people that have started again and I'm sure will let you know or offer some advice.

As you've said at least you didn't burn your scalp and hair will
grow back. I imagine someone will re post their thread for you
but if not at least you will have an adventure to look forward to
and as you can see we're around if you have questions
or something you want to discuss.

Welcome to the board Dave, I'm glad you weren't hurt in that accident and it does serve to remind us all to be safe around fire and machinery. Good luck in your regrowth, I'm sure it'll look fine as it grows out. I didn't start from buzzed, but my longest short hair was only a inch or so. Most of us started somewhere, either buzzed or business cut and we all turned out pretty good.
