I got a job too! It's as a graduate assistant/tutor for English and Latin students at my university. I'm not going to get rich, but by working 14 hrs./week, I will get free tuition/fees for a semester.
It worked out unexpectedly. I was sure I wouldn't be one of the ones picked for only two grad assistant spots available, but somehow I must have made a positive impression on someone along the way. Fate's a funny thing.
Well done on getting the work Matt and always better to have a few shillings coming in to pat the bills.
Cheers,
John.B
Congratulations, Matt! Not surprised at all. As you and I have opportunity to "talk shop", in my opinion, they'd have been fools to pass you over!

Hi Matt,
That is wonderful news, and congratulations! Also, best of luck in your studies.
Take care,
David
"...Fate's a funny thing..." Indeed !
Congratulations ! Sounds like the perfect niche for you !
Walter
Congrats Matt! It must be especially sweet getting one of the only two positions. Savior the moment!

Fate is a funny thing. 5 months ago I didn't think I would get the job I have now as the first interview was let say not my polished best and the hair came up so I figured that takes care of that.
But here I am. You never really can predict these things can you.
Best of luck to you and free tuition is always a good thing
even if for one semester.
