Hair on the first day after shower (ugh i hate this inbetween stage :() :
- Sometimes it looks better - sometimes worse... oh well. I hope it gets better as it gets longer and gains more weight... so close to being able to tie a half tail or put it behind my ears! ARGH! I seriously need that! so annoying... Sometimes (if not mostly) I wear a hat.
I also noticed that my hair after showering goes crazy... maybe its just the humidity here in Miami ... but It's hard to keep it calm; sometimes I use an iron to stop the sides from poking out like wings (really annoying) but I use it at a very low setting and with only usually 1 stroke. Even so - I notice that the 2nd day my hair is great! It's smooth shiny and doesn't poke out so much. I guess 'cause it builds up a bit of oil - but it feels sooo much better.
Heh... I just noticed sometimes lighting makes my hair seem darker.
Just a bit of background on me:
I'm blonde (a bit darker now than when I was a kid - I had very blonde hair) and when I was a kid up until about 9th grade I had dead straight hair... Guess that changed as I have a slight wave to it now.
Thanks in advance for the comments; also - I'm hoping my hair does end up gaining more weight as it gets longer - cause right now it has no weight specifically at the front - so it tends to point out or wave.

Looks good. Stick with it.
I know it drives you crazy but it will improve and the miami
weather doesn't help the awkward stage much. Your hair looks good
and in 6 months or so you'll be thrilled and it only gets better
from there.

Alan, Your hair is looking good! Great progress on your
journey so far!

The hairs coming along nicely Alan. You should definitely keep it growing. As for the Miami weather not helping, I know all about that. The humidity down here makes my hair go nuts as well. In fact, It drives ME nuts every now and then! lol!
It is tricky to find a style during that stage that keeps hair out of your face and doesn't look a bit odd. If your a hat person, wear a hat. Once you get past this stage and can put your hair into a ponytail it's smooth sailing. Keep it growing, it's worth it.
Looks great Alan, and it'll get just better when longer. As for the dry hair just after a wash, I use a little anti-friz product and it helps control my hair until the natural oils return.
Keep on growin'
