since the discussion has been on the Texas hs students suspended for refusing to cut their hair I ran across this article and although it doesn't pertain to long hair, it does pertain to a student's right to wear their hair the way they choose to.

Yeah, blocking a person's rights, be it student's or otherwise, that's a good sign of freedom of speech in this country. It's the kid's hair, for petes sake... he's not walking around with his tee shirt hanging out. Come one. Let's get the important thing right!
