Hey guys!
A year and a half has come and gone and the hair keeps getting longer. Overall it feels like it’s in good shape, but I bought a pair of small hair scissors to go after split ends. I don’t have a major problem with them, but better to stay on top of it.
Halftail with a leather hairpiece I picked up at the Ren Faire. It’s kinda hard to see since it’s brown, but it wraps around the pony tail.
I’m starting to play with buns too.

Your hair looks great!I love it's color and shine,I wished I had orange hair too XD,jealousy...Don't give up on your goal even though lots of tangles start appearing,as I gave up on my long hair after 1 1/2 years passed due to tangles problem(on the back mainly).Keep posting your update pics!Peace :)
Thanks, Rafael! The tangles actually aren't much of a problem, though I do notice quite a few more if I wear it loose or in a halftail. The hair needs to get a bit longer before I'll be able to get a good shot at hunting down the split ends in the back. Splits, beware!

Looking great, shiny hair from root to tip. I really like the hair accessories, especially the half tail hair tie.
Hope the snows aren't too deep in the "Land of 10,000 Lakes" and that you're keeping warm. I didn't realize it, but I read somewhere that the average winter temps in Minnesota are actually colder than Siberia! Brrr!

It actually hasn't really snowed much in the past couple weeks in my area of Minnesota, but we are in for a deep freeze. Saturday's high is -1 degree below 0 F.

Thanks, Ed! I'm slowly gaining skills with the accessories, and having more hair helps a LOT. Buns sitll ellude me. I can make them functional, but not nice-looking. More practice for me!

They're on hiatus right now, unfortunately, as I am back in school. However, maybe I'll be able to take some more this summer sometime when I return to Colorado. =)

Thanks, Max! I picked it up at the Minnesota Ren Fest. I would assume you could find something at a Ren Faire in your area. It was at a leather shop that sold belts and pouches as well.

I wear the ponytail the most often (it's my standard work and workout style), but I like the halftail for variety. I wear it loose mostly when I'm at home or outside if it's not windy (nice and warm on the ears).

I saw your trim pictures, by the way, and I think it looks very nice. I like mine naturally layered at the moment, but I haven't ruled out getting it cut to all one length sometime down the road.

Hi, that's great; you got it made. I'd do that thing with the ends too if I knew what to look for.
Thanks, Rob! Look for hairs with a "V" shape at the ends. Snip off above that. It's really simple, and once you start seeing them they seem to multiply, but it seems to be paying off for me.
