So, I'm almost two years in. I haven't gotten a single cut or trim, but for a variety of reasons, I think I'm about due. For a trim, that is. (not cutting!) I think the ends are looking a little scraggly. I'm not really sure what to say to a hairstylist though, and I certainly don't want to have them hacking it all off. I think the longest hairs could be cut back an inch or two to make it look a little fuller, and the rest of it could perhaps use a little shaping. What do you guys think?
I'm also adding a second post with some older pictures if anyones interested.
Left column is 6 months back, right is 12. I keep quiet, but I'm always lurking... If you remember me from back then, say hello!
Great looking hair! ^_^
If I were you, I'd either cut the ends myself (with a pair of hair scissors, or you'll just end up causing more splits sadly, or make it very, very, VERY clear to the hair stylist what you want (as in tell her/him specifically a 12 or an inch trim. Just an example. And if you don't want it blunt or do, tel him/her).
Oh, and if they start making remarks about your hair being too long and asking why don't you cut it, hightail it OUT.
Hi gregor
You have some awesome hair going on there but please be careful should you get a trim and do go to a stylist who you trust.Nothing is worse than having one cut way too much have off as after that happens there is nothing you can do but wait the months/years for it to regrow.Anyway good luck and do post more often.Mark
I'll say I think it looks fine the way it is and might wait another year before I would do what you mentioned.
My thought is you might loose more length that you can visualize.

Gregor, Looking Good!
peace, jonabear
I'd say you can wait a bit, then find someone you trust who doesn't have an agenda.
Good luck,
Bruce
Your hair looks good to me. You should let it grow another 6
inches or so. Be very careful going to a salon. They will often
cut off much more than you ask for.

DUDE...i would wait another year or so...i woulnt cut it for at least another 10 months to a year. WAY TO GO....YOUR ONE YA WAY AN A OFFICIAL LONG HAIR LIKE ALL OF US
