I've noticed that in the eastern countries like China and Japan they look at long hair as a sign of health, about in the west it's mainly looked at as bad health, or hygiene rather. Think we're hippies =O
Just thought it was kind of interesting to me.

That's like saying all longhairs in California are all surfers; while longhairs in Kansas simply haven't had time to go to the barbershop, because too busy in their corn fields...
Of course, i HAVE heard that all longhairs in Montana are bikers... AMAZING!!

Well I didn't mean it as a rude way, but some people think that about me for wanting long hair you know?
In traditional China it was a shame to cut your hair of as a man. Long hair was a sign of spiritual growth. I also like the traditional old Chinese hairstyles for men with long hair but I can't find any information about it. I don't know about Japan.
