My dad said if I didn't get a haircut he wasn't gonna pay for my tuition, I only did it because if he didn't pay my grandparents would and I don't want them to.
Before
After
I was starting to enjoy my hair. :(
That's a bit of serious haircut for some tutition fees!
A shame but we have to do got we got to do life to get by!
Cheers,

I chose this one coz it got on his nerves when I had it two years ago. It pissed him off a little, ah, some satisfaction in that, I guess.

Too Cool !!
With today's tuition rates, you probably got about $10.000/inch for your hair.....pretty good deal ! (remind your Dad often ! HA!)
Best of luck in college !!

Lol, thanks for making me smile. He's probably really pissed off at me because I didn't say goodbye to him when I came back to the dorms.
I didn't want to hurt him, but he has to know that he's trading love for dominance.
That's too bad. :( Someday, you won't have to depend on him for anything, and then what will he do to try to coerce you?
David
I'm sad for you. It's a little bit silly to give such an ultimatum.
Bye
Vivien
Yes it is very sad but sometimes we have to bow to pressure from family.

Oh well, Leito, it'll grow back, as hair so often duzz. Rrreminds me of myself twenty years ago; I buzz'd all my hair awf 'coz I wuzz workin' in a largely black-own'd, black-operated, major East Coast courier concern as an executive assistant. My choice of coif wuzz met w/ a supportive and resounding, "Yo, Carsten! You a honorary niggah now!", before the N-word was grounds for litigation, court-mandated rehabilitation, and/or incarceration.
Look at it this way, Leito; you'll get a PAID-FOR education even though it was done on your dad's conditional so-say AAAND your hair'll grow back and better than B4! Happy schooling, bro.
Yours for resuming your longhair'd magnificence,
Quenyan
When I was in high school, many of my friends had everything given to them by their parents--cars, money, tuition, etc...
The amount of control their parents had over them was frightening to me--some of them are out of college and their parents still dominate them.
I believe in respecting ones parents, but I think the only way they will respect YOU is if you demonstrate independence.
You can work your way through school. It may take a couple extra years, but you can do it, and you'll be a better person in the end.
I was never one that was fond of Blackmail and would have let willing Grandparents pay instead since they had extended this generous offer.
...is stay in school, get good grades and land a good enough job that you never have to need anything from him ever again. I truly feel sorry for anyone who has to "buy" his own way (that sounds better than blackmail, but that's what it is). Your father sound like a very unhappy man.
This may not be of a whole lot of comfort right now, but I hope it will help in the long run....
My dad was just as over-controlling and unfair when I was a kid also, so I totally understand the pain you're going through. Just remind yourself that you will NOT be under his control forever. The day will come when you will intuitively know you can break free. This is a TEMPORARY situation. Remind youself of this (even daily, if need be)... You WILL have loong hair, --- even if for now things look bleak.
My best to you. And I'm so sorry to hear you have this painful, unfair situation for now.

Sad.... I don't like to be controled and that's why I always pay my own way.
jeffrey.
If my dad blackmailed me like that, i would burn the house down and smash his car to pieces.
Umm, I can't afford those delicacies. :D :D
I hate stories like these but what can one do. At least your hair wasn't mid back or something and years of growth down the drain.
I imagine it safe to assume you will not be re growing it anytime soon? How long do you plan to be at schoo;?
Kevin
It wasn't very long but it was the longest I've ever had it and I was starting to have fun with it.
I'll keep it buzzed off so this thing doesn't come up again.
I went through something similar... my parents said if I wanted tuition money, I had to stay in Miami... I did it my first year, then I moved away and unfortunately stayed out of school for several years since I couldn't do school, rent and car payment all on one salary... but I gained the experience of living on my own and away...
I've been back in school for a couple of years now and luckily my employer pays 100% of tuition and books, so I was very fortunate in the end.
I would not have allowed my grandparents to pay either. If I was left with the same options, I would have done the same as you.
You don't want to be without a College education in this damn country.
True, but as I said my grandparents would have paid. And I'd be a bich to let them do that due to my stubbornness.
