Some people love curly hair,
Some people love straight hair,
Some people love hair of a certain length or colour, tied back or left to roam free...
What is your favourite type of hair.
For me I like hair to be almost straight, with a bit of a wave
It absolutely *must* be clean and smell nice
Subtle highlighting or natural looking colour is okay (bright green, blue, red or anything of that ilk is a no-no).
Styling gel that gives the hair a resinous or greasy look is a no-no.
Love ponytails tied low or just left to roam free.
Sorry not much of a fan of dreads or half-tails and braids.

I'm somewhat the opposite, but there are many types of hair I'm a fan of. namely red/strawberry blonde hair with a definite wave pattern that's long, unnaturally dyed hair of the Virgin Rose variety, and long, loosely curled hair.
I'll ditto that, but I do like the half-tails and braids, as they add character. Not much for dreads, however, as they just ruin hair. Hope you're doing well, RM. =)

Your hair looks great in this photo! Ironically, many of the things you describe are exactly the type of things I like. However, some time, I would like to try a braid, as some of those that Jason has worn are awesome.

Here's my two cents from a woman's point of view for what it is worth:
I like long wavy or curly hair.
Very natural.
Doesn't have to be kempt it can be all over the place and doesn't always have to be super clean. Some of the most beautiful hair is first thing in the morning hair.
Love dreads probably one of my favorite styles.
Not big on pony tails, braids or half tails.
If you are going to have long hair just let it be free!
I hardly ever wear my hair back unless it is a necessity.
Wavy, clean, pony tails are good tied low or high.
No gels or colouring.

It does depend on the person's face, hair, and body types, but I'm not crazy about dreads. They're hard to keep clean, when they're longer than APL they become dangerous weapons to everyone, etc. Keeping one's hair up all the time seems like a waste, why grow it long if you're just gonna keep it up? But, that's my opinion.
I wish my hair was like what you see in fantasies and historical movies, red with waves, but it's poker straight and blah brown (with "silver highlights").
Brandon and João David have glorious manes, thick and full, I hope to see how they look when longer than classic.
