Ok, I desperately want the Tom Cruise, Mission IMpossible 2 look. right now i have hair that, when pulled down is to my ear lobe, but it doesnt stay there. It sticks up in the back and doesn't come down in the front. It is thick and i use VO5 shampoo and Suave conditioner. I want my hair to be much thinner and i think the fact that i started growing it out from a bald head my be a problem. Should i get the back cut and allow the front to grow out some more so it will start to get floppyer? Please help me.

I think it is the shampoo you are using. V05 is not the best product on the market, try Herbal Essences or Loreal. Do you think you need conditioner? Most people, expecially with short hair, do not need it.
As for the hair sticking up, its probally that awakward growing out stage that you'll just have to grin and bear through.
