I was googleing around and found this and although we read these kinds of stories a lot I like this one because the parents are fighting back with a lawsuit.

In the article marijuana is no big deal but you can't have long hair. LOL According to the stereotype the two go hand in hand.

Interesting story, and one that really strikes a nerve with me. I just don't understand why long hair on a boy or a man is such a damn big deal to some people! I hope the family wins too, of course. What a shame for individuals' rights and freedom of choice if they don't.
As someone who goes barefoot as much as possible, believe me, I know what it's like when people try to make you conform to the way they think something ought to be done. "You should wear shoes!" "You're barefoot!" "You're going to hurt yourself!" "Don't you think you should at least wear flip-flops?" And on and on and on.
Anyway... just venting now. I'll stop. :-)
