I hate short haired quitters.
i totally agree, there is definitely a tendency for short haired people to quit. on the other hand, i know of long haired people that are persistent in competition. all the short haired quitters i know are lazy and worthless. good thing we have the right to grow it long.
Come on guys, you've got to be kidding? You really want to tie a character trait to the length of your hair? Only once since I have been growing my hair long (a year now) has anyone said to my face that having long hair indicated some negative moral quality about me. Once was enough. That person was showing her own fears and insecurities and tying them to me. A stereotype is a stereotype. You cannot be glad that you are free to grow your hair long if you wont' afford that same freedome to others to cut their hair short.
I took my son to get a haircut Saturdsay--because he wanted one. I let him decided how it got cut--he wanted it short. He's not the moral reprobate you describe. He's a boy who wants short hair.
Robert
Well stated, Robert. Hair length (short or long) can not be attached to character traits any more than religious beliefs, skin pigmentation, sexual orientation, etc... People really need to be careful not to paint with such wide brush strokes.
Timothy
Whenever someone paints with such wide strokes - you always find a lot of DRIPS.

I have a college education in engineering and a P.E. license, and I am a hippie. Go figure.
I went to college starting in the late 1960's (sounds familiar?) and took up an engineering major. Then I changed to computer science when computers were coming into vogue. I said that any guy with long hair is a `hippy'.
Oh, and I am still fond of San Francisco. They have neat transportation systems!
it is typically the responce of me is not to tell them that it can't be done, but to make it happen!...and I won't quit till it works!
I am an audio-visual systems engineer. I engineer, build, and service TV broadcast equipment, presentation systems, theaters, pro-sound and lighting, etc...we get some pretty odd requests through here for what people want to do with equipment too!
Just goes to show you that everyone has thier prejudices. BTW, you'd
starve to death waiting for leftover work from this longhaired engineer.
