http://alterophobia.blogspot.com/2008/01/long-hair-discrimination-case-in.html
This is about Grant Stranaghan, who got a three day school suspension followed by isolation for breaking the school hair rules, which discriminate between boys and girls. He also got attacked with scissors on the school bus, but escaped without injury or hair loss.
A court has now ruled that the discriminatory rules are lawful, but his father says he will appeal further, to the European Court of Human Rights if necessary.
There is nothing about any charges against his attacker, and the school claim the isolation was "not part of the punishment".
Is the school public or private?
"attacked with scissors on the school bus"
What is wrong with some people?!
Either detached from life of just plain jealous or stupid!

And you know what they say... You can't fix stupid!!
I had been watching that case as well thanks for the info.
Too bad and I hope they appeal and win. I was under the impression it was a public school.

I hate schools. I hate them I hate them I hate them. Too much drama over the most unnecessary things. Hair is hair, and if girls can have their hair long and not be discriminated against, then why on earth can't men? So many famous men have had long hair. Our first President had long hair. In fact, almost every male in the world did back in those days. It wasn't uncommon.
Schools are so ridiculous! I'm so sick of hearing these stories. Somebody should do something about this, because it's getting ridiculous.
