Well, lets see............... I guess it's been close to 8 months since my last haircut. It was a #2 buzz cut to make everything even so I could let it all grow from there. Anyways how long might it take until I can get it in a bit of a ponytail, even a small one, I know it will be a while yet, lol. Oh and how about some words of encouragement to get me past this 'awkard" stage ! lol Thanks guys.
I think you're close to start making some ponytails,as for 8 months is a pretty long time.Hats work well during the awkward stage,as well as bobby pins and sometimes gel.Good luck growing your hair!

Awkward is a state of mind. If you relax and embrace the feel of your ever lengthening hair, letting it be a reminder of your larger (and longer) goal, then time will past more quickly and surprise, awkward has become long.
But if you have to, wear a hat, use bobby pins, gel. Just stay away from scissors. They'll just keep you in the awkward stage forever.
