Hey Guys:
Since there's been alot of questions lately on shampooing/conditioning I'm going to throw my question into the pot. I just started shampooing only once per week, and on the other days I shower, I use Pantene's smooth and sleek conditioner. When my hair dries it's just as frizzy/dry as when I shampoo it, should I be only conditioning once a week too and just using water? Thanks in advance.

Well, what I do is condition every other day or every two days depending on how dry my hair is. When it feels like it has enough oil to be conditioned without becoming totally dried out, it is a good time to condition. So if you just go by that, you should be able to figure out how often to condition YOUR hair.
I wash and condition once per week. The rest of the week I just rinse with cool water. The longer it has been since washing day, the more manageable and better my hair becomes.
One thing I've noticed about this board is that practically nobody here has advanced hair care techniques. But I'll help you out, Carlos. What you should do is shampoo once every three/four days, more if your hair is oily. Condition everyday, make sure it's a moisturizing conditioner. Rinse in cool water, squeeze the excess, then blot your hair with a towel. Make sure to GENTLY BLOT, not rub. Then apply leave-in conditioner (try American Crew leave-in conditioner, you can get it at salon stores in any mall) to your damp hair to get rid of the frizz. Style, then let air dry. If you have curly hair, you can apply a bit of gel if your hair still dries frizzy, and don't touch curly hair after applying the products, especially with a brush cuz that will create frizz. You don't need to brush or comb curly hair beyond detagling with a wide toothed comb in the shower, period. Also, make sure all your products are applied evenly. That should be good enough. Tell me how it goes, peace.
