Hi all I've been lurking on this site for a very long time and I have the courage To finally post.
I grew up in a very open minded house hold so long hair was defiantly something that was accepted(Seeing as how my father had 2 foot long dread lock when i was growing up and my father's hair is down to his ankesl now)
My father's hair has always been a source of inspiration to me as seeing his inspiration led me to become a hair stylist here in the midwest, which might I add is something i enjoy!
I am here to lend support to all of you wonderful people here on this board.
You are all beautiful and very inspiring to me and I am thankful there is a place like this that exists!
also not only from my father's inspirational locks but as well as all of yours,i have begun growing my hair back out and I doubt i'll stop growing.
I am looking forward to taking the journey with all of you:)
and looking forward to learning new things from you and vice versa.
Cheers!
It is always nice to have more female support on this board. Your dad's story is inspiring, even though I am not a big fan of dreadlocks on myself. Hope you have a wonderful new year and thanks for the support.
You are very welcome for the support.
and Dreadlocks are defantly alot of committment and time and I personaly wouldn't have the patience haha so I give kudos to my dad,i should post a pic of us some day.
Happy new year to you too!
cheers.
Hi Jasmine,
It's always good to have the ladies here to give us their point of view. Guys can get pretty "stuck in their ways" sometimes. It can be refreshing (and sometime irritating - in a good way) to hear the other side of the story.
Please "unlurk" in the future! ;)

I am going to get over being so shy and post here more often.
this is a group of some of the most accepting and kind-hearted people that i have ever seen on a forum so it makes me fee at ease.
cheers
Hi Jasmine,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the hyperboard, and I am delighted that you have joined us. We already have several women members on the hyperboard, and words cannot begin to say how much we appreciate their support. This is a lovely B&W photo of you, and I will be looking forward to supporting you on your own journey to long hair.
Cheers,
David

Always nice to have a lady who appreciates us. Whether or not they exist in any significant percentage is, as you have probably seen from lurking, a recurrent theme. Of course you do exist, but seeing is believing so thank-you for un-lurking.
trust me you are all appreciated beyond belief, and are all beautiful as well, and thank you for welcoming me with open arms it means ALOT:)
cheers.
Thanks for supporting us!

Welcome, Jasmine! Ladies who love long-haired men are always welcome here. Any chance of seeing a picture of your dad's hair? Ankle-length--WOW!!!
Nice Immortal shirt.
Hi Jasmine, glad you found us happy bunch! I find that ladies fall into two catagories when it comes to long hair on guys, 1. they hate it, and 2. they absolutely love it!! LOL, there seems to be no inbetween, the same goes for beards, so I am really asking for a large proportion of dislikers seeing as I have both.
Anyway, good luck in your hair journey and see you around.
Cheers Dave
