I found it looking at someone's journal on LHC. I figured I'd post it here.
It's awesome, and makes me wish I could braid already (too short. D:) so I think some people here'd get some good use out of it.
Thanks for the link! No 3 strand braid though. Can anyone post step-by-step instructions on how to do those?
There's one in the link section right here on the mlhh. ^_^
Here's how I do it:
1) Dampen your hair first. I use a good dose of Infusium-23.
2) Tie your hair in a ponytail. If you want to take the ponytail band off after you've finished braiding, be sure to keep it loose.
3) Separate the ponytail into 3 sections. Make them as even as you can.
4) Hold the section on the left out of the way for the moment and cross the center section over the right section. Pull tight.
5) Take the new center section, pull it over to the left and cross it over the section that was on the left. Pull tight.
6) Take the new center section, cross it over the right and repeat steps 4 & 5 until you've gone as far as you want to go, then tie it off.
Important! Make sure your hair is damp (not wet, of course)! It's MUCH easier to braid. Be sure the 3 hair sections are as even as possible, and keep a constant tension on the hair as you braid it. I find it a lot easier to do if I'm leaning back slightly. And practice, practice, practice. Braiding does take getting used to but you can do it while you're watching TV, etc.
Amazing I'd ask Jason or Frannt for advice.
Cheers,
