Hi Chris,
I just been reading through the threads and saw you update post of last night and I have to say you look very well there and also look very happy and relaxed and it looks like things are really going in a positve direction for you. The hair looks great.
For me longhair is not just about identify and i'm not going through the pros and cons of that here. Okay it adds to the visual appearance but we've all got personalities inside as well and that's important. Shorthair or longhair we are all still the same inside.
At the end of the day we have to feel happy with yourself and we all have different reasons why we have longhair or growing it out and it's a personal choice. If you bothered about having longhair or indifferent I'm sure most of us understand here.
Please don't be a stranger and you have given alot of positive input into the community and voluteered your time free to help with the modertion task. Some of us have come to know you as a good friend over the months and always enjoyed our chats in the chat room and over other MS chat mediums.
Just think it's another new exciting chapter in your life.
Keep in touch mate.
Cheers,
John.B
Hey John!
Thank you so much for your kind words and support, I really appreciate them. If I had some great hair with a lot more character like yours, who knows, maybe it would have been worth it. But when my hair gets longer, it seems to lose life and become limper and straighter. I guess I reached a point where I wanted the more interesting texture than length alone.
Well I was overwhelmed by the responses to my cutting post, perhaps mine was a bit better recieved than "Hi I cut my hair" posts from people nobody ever knew lol. Well I do enjoy the atmosphere of this place and I love a good chat so while I may post some (I still know great hair when I see it!) more likely to find me hanging out in the chat room. My identity is not shutting up ;)
Thanks again mate, you are a good friend!

John, you've said everything I wanted say and just the way I would have said it. Chris, your happiness is what matters to all of us here. You've made a difficult decision, but to judge from your picture, it appears to be the right one. You are much more to us than just a head of hair. Know that you are always welcome here, and please keep in touch.
All the best,
Randy
Thank you very much Randy, I really appreciate the kind words. I don't regret the decision one bit but I wish the circumstances that led to it were different. But I think that even if I were in perfect health I am not sure I would have done anything differently. It is hard to say, when I was most enthusiastic about my growing out I hadn't seen what it would look like and perhaps the reality of my hair versus the fantasy of much fuller and wavier hair that I would have preferred would have killed the idea just as surely.
So if my idea of what is acceptable hair changes or if I get a very strong urge to grow than I will be back on board with growing.
At the moment I feel kind of adrift with respect to MLHH, I love the people here but don't feel that I fit. Everybody encourages me to stay so I guess it is up to me to find my new place here :)
I like your phrasing about the heads of hair. I can often forget that this place is primarily about hair in some ways because I certainly don't think of people as heads of hair either LOL. Funny image though :)
Thanks again Randy!
I agree also, John you put it perfectly.
There is more to life than hair.
