Hey guys,
So as I mentioned in my earlier post, I've decided to stop using shampoo and conditioner on my hair. My last shampoo was Thursday of last week, and by today my hair was getting some nasty oil build-up (as well as dust and dirt build-up from my job). To avoid using shampoo, I mixed baking soda into some water, rubbed it into my wet hair, massaging the scalp, rinsed, then poured diluted apple cider vinegar onto my head, rubbing that in as well before rinsing.
For my first use, I've found it is very effective! My hair feels very soft and clean, yet still has a slight natural oil coating that feels great and very healthy. My scalp feels nice and my hair feels less straw-like and naked than shampooing. So far this method works wonders. I highly recommend this to everyone! Try it at least once! You may never use shampoo again.
Seriously, I'm overwhelmed with the positive results. Hopefully I can keep this up and eventually restore the natural oil balance to my hair. I'd like to experience this, as for my whole life I've been using shampoo and have been dealing with oil buildup because of shampoo's harsh cleansing. But I digress. I recommend this method to everybody.
Hello,
I have tried once the WO routine but i had to stop after one month, i had a HUDGE amount of dead skin buildup because of my dermatite, but my hair never felt as great as it did !
Be carefull it will take some weeks or month to the hair to get used to the non shampoo routine
