Hullo everyone. I recently straightened my hair for a costume i wore for a school spirit type thing. ( i was Jackie Estacado, if anyone knows him)
I have to say, i kinda like how my hair feels straightened.
Though, i'm worried about how i've heard that it causes hair damage.
I was thinking of straigthening my hair everyonce in awhile for a change, and i wanted to ask, what does damaging your hair actualy cause? Less shine, not as smooth?
Plus, would only doing it every once in a long while cause much damage?
I've heard that is depends on the straightener. Check to see if yours is a ceramic straightener. Ceramic is better for your hair. If its heating surface is metal, it's definitely BAD for your hair.
My daughter's straightener is made of tourmaline. Which is a form of crystal. Hers cost about $75.
Ah, mine was metal unfortunately. D:
But ceramics, yeah, i've hear that before. I'll have too look into a ceramic one then.
