I've just noticed that after many months of no growth, it's suddenly a good inch or two longer! I was measuring it a lot lately, checking length when wet and dry, pulled straight and my segmented ponytail, and only a few minutes ago discovered that it's no longer armpit length, but a good few inches longer. Also, my segmented ponytail has gone from 3 hair ties with little room to spare, to 4 ties with about an inch tassle!
Could be the Biotin I've been taking, or it could be summer approaching but something has done it.
It may be but I've never seen any medical evidence that says it does unless the doctor posts up!
Cheers,

Could it be the biotin you are taking...nope. Scientific studies have not shown that biotin improves or speeds up hair growth in otherwise healthy people.
Consider all the tens of thousands of people who consume biotin supplements hoping it will help them grow hair. Of that group, consider the ones who state they think that maybe the biotin they're taking is causing the hair on their heads to grow faster and longer. How many from this group also state they think the biotin is causing all the other hair on their bodies (armpits, etc., etc., etc.- you fill in the blanks) to grow faster and longer? None I'm aware of. One would have to deduce that (1) supplemental biotin preferentially affects head hair over all other body hair (never proven) -OR- (2) that perceived changes in head hair growth while taking biotin supplements are just that: only perceptions. I'm an M.D.; after having reviewed the medical literature, I suspect it's the latter.
i been taking Biotin for a week and half now i can actually see a tad bit difference in my hair growth, im now taking 5,000 mcg aka 1,667% its called Super Potency Biotin you should try it! its 4 times stronger than the basic 1,000 mcg
1000 mcg or 5000 mcg or 5,000,000 mcg...it doesn't really matter. Biotin supplements have never been proven to improve hair growth or promote healthier hair in otherwise healthy people. The manufacturers know this. That's why their websites cite all kinds of anecdotal testimonials but no actual scientific research. They figure the more biotin they can squeeze into each tablet or capsule, the more they can justify a higher price to charge people. They become very rich that way.
no.
