Just curious--when you visit MLHH, how far down do you go looking for new posts? Do you look all the way to the end every time? I never seem to make it more than half-way. It's a combination of lack of time, plus I figure that anything in the bottom half of the page has probably fallen down so far there's nothing new there to look at anyway. I'm just wondering if I'm the only one who does that, or if you all check the whole thing every time.
I read fast and am sort of compulsive about reading, so I at least scan the first page.
I'm not a great fan of the threading since I can get lost in all of it.
I go all the way down to read the posts about every other day, but then again I want to soak up all the useful information that you guys have to offer.

I try to read almost all the posts and I may go pretty far down the page if, for some reason, I missed a few days. Replies to posts, I may only go back a few days, depending on the subject. I usually only will post a reply 2 days back. I figure that most guys may not even go back that far. Maybe I am wrong.
BTW, Rob, You replied to my trimming post a ways back, thank you! It was your story of trimming your hair that kicked me in the butt, to do just the same thing. It is a lot easier to comb in the mornin' :)
Bruce
Thanks Bruce; glad the trim helped. Like you, I hope I don't have to do it again.
Same-I read down a page or 2 to see what's new and look at my most recent posts. It would be easier to see what's new if the threads re-ordered by date....just a thought.

Hi Rob,
I tend to read most of the way down the page. This is especially applicable if I have recently posted an update, since it has always been my policy to reply to everyone, even if my update has scrolled down to the bottom of the page. I would never want to feel that I have overlooked anyone.
Hope this helps,
David
We now have so many members and obviously many, many posts per day, that messages are scrolling down awfully fast. I try to read down until I do not see any changes from my last read. I would like to respond with encouragement and congratulations to everyone's update posts, but that just is not practical anymore.
I completely agree. We're both in the same boat it seems.
I found this by mistake. I meant to hit "User Directory", but I was still having the double vision, and hit "Thread View" instead.
The threads are listed in the left pane with the most recently replied-to at the top, and the posts themselves are in the right pane. I scroll down, clicking every few until I find one that doesn't have any "blue" links, then go to the one above it, read the replies, then go to the one above that, etc. If I've been here for a while, I'll refresh the left pane, and check new posts.
Before leaving, I go back to "Standard View" and do a quick scroll down to be sure there aren't any strays.
So, with this, if someone replies to the earliest thread, I'll still catch it.
this is a good feature that I never saw here before-thanks for letting us know! How long has it been there?
