Super Bowl XLII:
Giants: 17
Patriots 14
I knew the underdogs were gonna take it, man those last 2 minutes were tense!
"Upset" hahaha?? I would've cried if New England won. I think more people are satisfied with the Giants' win.
I on the other band was rooting for the Patriots.
Also see the previous post I had on the many long hairs on the Patriots as opposd to no long hairs on the giants.
I'm not a fan of any New York team, escpecilly the Bills,
The Jets, The Giants, and the Yankees.
I'm from Minnesota and think that Moss is long overdue for a superbowl ring, but there's no way I prefer a patriots win over the underdogs! The patriots were the favorite by far, and I thought it was more fun to watch them lose, hehe.
Why?
Probably just to see them fall off a high horse.
I'm from New England, and even I can understand that, even if my interest in sports is nil to none.
I could understand that attitude if the Pats came out after every win and ran their mouths about how they were the best, or if they had somehow gotten to the point they had without truly deserving it (which of course just doesn't happen in the NFL). As it was, they were modest about their status, and simply went out there and got the job done. I feel the better team won on the night, but I was personally hoping to witness a team go undefeated, as there won't be another run like this for a long, long time, and the Pats most certainly deserved to be that team. Shame to see them fall apart at the very last hurdle.
Eli being crowned MVP made me sick though. I've hated that little runt since the draft.
In fact Tom Brady and company were their own worst critics.
Even when they would win Brady would be the first one to
admit that mistakes were made and they could have done
alot better.
Brady hated to loose and you can bet that the fans of the Patriots don't need to complain about how the team did.
You can take it to the bank that Tom Brady is beating himself
up about all the mistakes he made. Same with Bellichick. He
also is beating himself about the mistakes he made.
The Patriots are a team that during the week filled up on the
Humnble Pie that Bellichick would serve. He never let them
get overconfident or full of themselves.
Uh, I didn't mean they weren't humble or anything like that. That really doesn't matter.
They had a near perfect season, everyone in New England wanted them to win. That's certainly enough to want to see them lose. Besides, enough people in New York and other areas hate the team enough that it doesn't matter in any case how 'humble' they were.
That doesn't make sense. The Patriots refrain from
the trash talk that is common in football. The Patriots
are a humble team that takes each game one game at a time.
They do their talking on the field when they play the game.
Oh and as far as spygate goes: here is a list of teams
who don't spy on their opponents:
[Deliberately left blank because all the teams do it.
BB was blatent about it, the other teams have
cell phone cameras in the stands, a web came in
the office buidling accross the street from the
stadium, etc. But ever since Lombardi and his
game films every team tapes wverything that goes
on related to the game. In fact it wouldn't surprise
me if some teams have powerful computers hooked up to
the cameras to deceipher the codes live before the
next play is run.)
Oh dear a great shame I missed it!
Cheers,
John.B
Eh, what can I say? The Giants played a great game. Even though I'm a Pats fan, I can't say I was pleased with their performance last night.
Peace,
Ryan
It was hair washing night so I missed it....Damn!
maybe next year.

A couple of addendums to this:
1. It now appers that this Super Bowl was the second most watched tv show behind only the MASH season finale.
2. It was apprent during the game that Tom Brady was
playing injured.
Wow thats impressive and tops the viewing figures of a Morecombe and Wise Christmas show then!
Cheers,
John.B
Yep. Now all the Patriots that were in the Pro Bowl have backed out. What a bunch of sore LOSERS. The only problem I have with the Giants is not acknowledging where they really play, which is here in New Jersey. Yet, they still call them the New York Giants. Anyway, yes a good game it was. At least it wasn't your typical Super Bowl boring blowout.

Wrong answer. They've all backed out due to injuries.
Brady was obviously injured in the super bowl, Moss got
injured in the game as did a number of other players.
