I haven't updated in a long time but the hair hasn't changed.
Just washed so it's a bit fluffy. As best I can recall I've
not ever posted a pic of the length from the back.
How long have I been growing?? Well this is probably my
168th month give or take a few months.

You certainly have an amazing head of hair there and a great colour and looks in great condition and didn't release how long it was. That's certainly great growth for your 168th month "official" picture thats for sure.

but dude did you cut your hair or its your natural terminal length ?
Back in the 90's I fell victim to the "trim it it will grow faster" myth but I haven't had a trim in 3 or 4 years.

I was lucky I guess as a lot of people have ups and downs with growing their hair and I had no issues just let it grow.

I have lots of interests and hobbies. And I hope to spend the three hot summer months sailing Puget sound. The past few years have been nothing but work and work (70+ hours/week), so I am looking forward to just staying home and catching up on things around here. I've made a pretty nice oasis in the desert.
My field (Geology) is very short on experienced field folks so I have had several offers already. Will likely do some consulting.

Anything's possible Mark and when you do reach that length you'll
look awesome so keep growing and trims are over rated so unless
you have massive split end problems don't bother. I have a few

Your right Scott the longest hairs reach my belt but not many of
them. So I'm there and that's it but that's ok I'm happy with it.
I would die to have a mane as long as yours but my hair is too
fine and not thick enough.

Thanks Dave and I like my Kitchen doors too, the previous owner was a wood worker and made them himself real wood not laminate. I was told I should paint them I responded "you should jump into a freezing river".

I know what you mean once in a while people will ask do you ever wonder what you'd look like with short hair again? I say no I never wonder but I imagine I would look hideous. The thought of cutting never enters my mind. I also get the "when your older don't you think it will look odd" I think of Bill and Karsten among others and say no actually it looks even more cool the older I get.

Yea I get that line too every once in a while about wondering how you would look with short hair.So all I do is ponytail it pull the tail over my head and put on a baseball cap and viola instant short hair and I can honestly say it looks terrible.LOL.Also I think even on older guys it still looks great as per your examples.Well most important is that I like it long:)

Thanks Mike, I rarely get to see it from the back as I don't often look in the mirror with my back turned so you could say I had no idea it was that long either. LOL
The cool part of that pic is most of the gray is on the sides so you dn't see much f it. (grin)
