My hair got real thin 17 years ago because of some medicine I was taking then. At the time I thought it was Male Pattern Baldness since my dad is bald...it never got worse after the medication was stopped, though. One of the side effects of this medicine is thin hair and dry skin...I still have both. What can I do now to thicken my hair...all I can think of is a full body conditioner?

okay, in my opinion MY PERSONAL opinion
when you have thinner hair it looks better cut a little bluntly and a little sorter, it looks fuller because theres more hair ending where u cut it, and in your picture it looks like you brush your curly hair, try applying things to make it curly and voluminous like mousse so the hair sticks together and curls will shape so you wont be able to see through it.
ps i wish my hair was thinner, struggling with thick hairs not that nice either :P
Is mousse easily washed out with cool water?

I feel for you man, I have low Thyroid (taking med for it) and this leaves my hair looking a little like yours and mine is about your lenght . I have dry/course hair and it a bit thinner on the left side than the right, wish there was a way to thicken up my left side.
I recently started adding leave in conditioners and oils (a little) to my hair and noticed that my hair drinks it in since it's so dry. It doesn't look greasy and hopefully the hair on my sides won't break so soon....the hair seems stronger and doesn't break as easily now.

I'm doing the leave in conditioner myself and I'm looking into jojobo oil products. It's only been a month since I started taking better care of my hair, I've got a long way to go and a lot to learn.
