I personally like the half-tail right now as I'm not overly happy with the way the full pony looks on me yet. I still have a lot of different lengths as I haven't trimmed in 10 months. I plan on a slight trim toward the end of this year to help even things out a bit.

Wow you certainly are looking like a real longhair these days and the hair is looking really good and in amazing condition and full of body. I think the half tail looks great on you and it's another way of doing your hair. As for the trim I would say looking at the pics why bother it's in shape as it is.

Hows it going? Thanks so much for responding.. I'm hoping to hold out on the trim for another year; but the ends are just a tiny bit dry and get tangled pretty easily; we'll see. Its amazing how freaked out I get when I think about cutting it these days..

Unfortunately, I will never be able to enjoy a half tail as I have very little hair on the top of my head. Other then wearing it down, all I can do is tail or braid it.
You hair is nice and thick, and looks awesome!
The important thing to remember is you're working with what you've been blessed with right ??? Thanks for posting..

The up-side is that the busier one is, the less he pays attention to how slowly hair grows; thus one day, it is as if it just grew "overnight."
Please don't use the words "failed miserably" in a sentence about yourself! That makes me sad. I am sure you have lots of good things going on with your family and school, etc. How is your divinity school work going?

The half tail works for you and it looks good. as for trims in time it will even out but if it bothers you then a small one wont hurt.

I may hold off on the trim from what I'm gathering here. It really is pretty healthy except for being slightly dry at the ends in the back.. probably from the Colorado sun here..
