Any hair, even long can look better with a good haircut, do any of you ppl know any online hair cutting tutorials? i plan to do it myself because ive been traumatized by hairdressers.
I want a LONG haircut of course

wet your hair and part down the middle. Then take each part, like you would to tie pigtails, and lay the hair over your shoulders. Then cut the ends clean. I did this for my last trim and had good results. For things like neck hairs, best to have a friend or family member help with those.

Surely the idea is just to grow your hair and not cut it or it will never grow longer! Surely LESS of the haircuts just let it grow!

Try looking for "Feye's method" in a search engine. This is a method for doing self trims that only works with long hair. It gives a straight line across the back, and can be modified slightly to give a U shape instead.
I might try it if I ever reach my target length, i.e. if I can get all my hair down to my belt. I feel the same way about hair stylists.
