I didn't know till recently that Low Thyroid levels (which I have and am on meds for it) can cause dry/course hair and hair loss. I do the organic shampoo, organic conditioner and leave in conditioner. I'm new at growing my hair out (I don't have the hair loss problem) so I'm looking into some jojobo oil products to help with frizz ends.
Does anyone else in the forum here have this battle with Low Thyroid Levels which leaves you with dry course hair? If so would you please share what helps you that I might look into? I've been googling and read as much as I can about this.
Thanks in advance.

My understanding of this is it's not the thyroid levels that
cause hair loss, it is the thyroid medication.
My wife takes thyroid medication and has hair loss.
As always consult your doctor and pay attention to the side effects of the medication you take. Only your doctor can
sugg
Thanks for the reply Dust in the wind, sorry about the wifes hair loss, I know it's tougher for a lady to go through that. I found some jojoba oil product on the net and am going to try that on my dry ends.
I have hypothyroidism and once I started taking medication (Synthroid) my shedding did decrease a bit. However, I never had any hair loss, excessive shedding or corse, dry hair.
Thanks for the reply Sillage.
My thyroid doesn't work at all, and I've been taking thyroid medications during the last two years. I didn't notice any change though. I don't think medication can cause hair damage, they should do the opposite!!
Thanks for the reply Ale, from your avatar pic you don't have a hair loss problem. :-)
Read the side effects for the thyroid medication. Hair loss
is very common side effect.
