My hair has finally grown down to about over my eyebrows, but for the most part it's in that awkward phase, so it's back to the backwards caps for awhile...Hopefully within the next couple of months it'll grow out a little more and I can start styling it like Anthony Kiedis in the By The Way video and get rid of my hats LOL!
Time really flies when you're not trying to grow your hair, doesn't it? But really it won't be long before you're out of that awkward phase.
Don't forget that right now gel can be your friend.
Keep at it!

Hang in there bud it gets better. Caps and hats and scarfs OH MY!!!
Just keep up taking care not to damage it.
I'm at about the same stage, hair just touches the eyebrows. This may or may not help, but I find that if I shake my head back and forth while the hair is wet, then neaten it up with my fingers, it falls across my forehead in a way that isn't so "awkward." My hair is mildly wavy, so YMMV. A hair product that doesn't dry stiff (I use American Crew texture creme) helps keep it from poofing out. I've found all this out because most of the time I can't wear a hat.
Anyhow, like you I'm looking forward to getting past this stage.
Chris
Well the awkward stage is the worst and it does not last forever adnd only a few months and it get alot better the other side.
Cheers,

Perhaps rather than trying to hide your hair, just let it do its own thing and ENJOY the Awkward stage as a number of guys have done.
There is something to be said for it: A different look every day and then the whole experience suddenly becomes fun in growing out your hair.
Just a thought.
