Hi
For the past year (possibly longer) iv noticed a kind of 'frizz' forming everywhere around my hair, especially noticable from the back, where i usually finger comb. Also iv heard that finger combing is better for managing curlyish hair like me own than actually 'combing'. Im just starting to get frustrated with the way my hair looks now. Iv been growing it out since about 2005, starting from a standard mens cut. Does anyone else on here experience this kind of problem, frizz on the sides and top????
cheers
Gary
Yes, I experience exactly the same phenomenom as ya describe here; but, Doob, don't do a thing! Your hair is an amazing achievement, esp. fr. a "standard men's cut" of not quite three years ago. Whoa. Very admirable, seeeriously!
Mayhaps whatcha get is from laying on the sofa, the bed, resting in a high-backed, upholstered French wing back chair, or simply wearing headgear. Whadaya think, men and women of the MLHH?
Yours in longhaired camaraderie,
Quenyan
Dude... Great looking hair!!! I love the length on you! What is your goal length?
Gary, your hair is looking great. Pretty much everyone whose hair gets to be a certain length finds that the top and side hair, also known as the "canopy" hair, feels slightly more worn than the rest of the hair.
That area of your hair is more subject to the elements, wear and tear, and it's also the longest, that is oldest, hair on your head.
What you are experiencing is normal and just part of being a longhair.
Keep it growing. It looks fabulous.

This frizz your talking about is completely natural. It is said that they are actually protector hairs that sheild the rest from damage.
thanks alot for the advice. I was getting pretty tired with the way it was looking, but your advice has helped alot. My goal length is my terminal length, hopefully lowerback or more.
