Im starting to get a little upset because i dont see a really progression in last 4 months the lenght is like in stand by lol so a friend told me about crushin birth control pills and putting it in the shampoo so the hait grows faster, I search in the net and also people telling its true, SO is it true, I so would it harm my hair if I try it
Thanx
Your hair won't get pregnant if you put birth control in it. Beyond that, I wouldn't expect much.
Also, in order for the pills, or anything, to make a difference, it would have to be absorbed into your skin. That means it might end up in your bloodstream too. Do you want female hormones in your blood stream? No? Didn't think so.
Topical treatmenst for *baldness* do exist, so the theory is not totally out to lunch, just unproven and not likely to be subject to any serious study.
What is well known on this board is the psychological effects at various stages of growth. Average hair grows half an inch (roughly 1.25 cm) a month. When your hair is short, say, two inches, it takes only four months to double the length--a 100% increase. That's very noticeable. When it's like yours, maybe 8 inches? That same 4 months gets you only a 25% increase. It doesn't look like it's getting longer even though it is.
Thanx for the info, well I will have to wait and be patient, Damn I thought it would be a little more long for the IRON MAIDEN gig in mexico but well I will headbang with my semilong hair.
Greetings
...you have to start thinking in terms of years rather than months if you are going to successfully grow long hair.

It's good to see you posting again!
Well said Erik and look how you patience turned out in growing yours out, and a great inspiration.

I don't know if it will make your hair grow, but it might make your chest grow (and other things shrink). Doesn't sound like a very good plan to me.
Is thiw something new from the black metal scene in Norway that I missed last year at Inferno!

I actually have never heard of that before....Interesting info. BTW, Master Of Puppets BEST F-ING METALLICA RECORD EVER!!!!!!
Quenyan is correct. Men have androgen receptors that will receive female androgens. Androgens are sex hormones. Premarin is an estrogen type androgen and estrogen is responsible for secondary sex characteristics in females, such as breast development. However, as I mentioned earlier, men have receptors that will respond to these androgens too. This is how male to female and female to male sexual reassignment is made possible. Soy isoflavones mimic estrogen and may also be received by estrogen receptors, but, soy isoflavones are much less potent than estrogen. It could be that soy isoflavones may counter the negative effects of dihydrotestosterone, which is the primary androgen that triggers androgenetic alopecia.
In conclusion, I would strongly suggest that you avoid birth control pills.
