Hi longhaired folks, need some advice if you can spare some time.
I've got long thick hair (1 feet below shoulders), straight-ish with some curly stuff at the edges. But after washing it with shampoo it gets fizzle, lifeless and thin and it stays like that for days, no matter what. That's why I use shampoo only once every 2 weeks, other times only water (which is best for my hair but I get dandruff like stuff on my head after a while). Very strange because naturally my hair is very thick, add just a bit of shampoo and poof!
I have to say I never experimented with shampoos, so what shampoo would you recommend which I can use daily or once every few days without it making me look like a witch that just got off her broom, lol.
Cheers

Lots of longhairs have found that using shampoo (especially the full amount recommended by, of course, the shampoo makers) is just overkill for cleansing hair.
Many people use just water to wash. Others use hair conditioner instead of shampoo. For many people, the less cleanser you use, the less you need as your scalp learns to produce less oil.
Personally, I prefer to make my own hair cleanser using herbs like soapwort. When I don't have time for that, I use a very small amount of shampoo and dilute it with lots of water (e.g. 1 oz shampoo in 16 oz of water).
what products do u use now? have u ever tried ne anti-frizz shampoos or product? there r tons of really good ones out there. even some shampoos that will not strip ur hair of natural oils, but will get rid of build up. just be sure to look for product that doesnt have sulfate, its been linked to hair loss.
