I've told folks "No Way, or I Don't Think So" who have asked me "you going to tie it in a ponytail?" Well I had to eat my words today, I told my Nurse Aid to bring a rubber band with her and after we washed my hair, she made me a tail. I felt awkward all day about it but stuck it out till my Nurse Aid took the band out this evening. I didn't do any pics, not real sure I want to do it again anytime soon.
I'm guessing I'm not the only one who has felt awkward about wearing their first ponytail. Also learned RUBBER BANDS aren't the best for doing this! OUCCCCCCCCH!

Frank, man, I don't know brand names when it comes to hair ties, just the fact that these hair ties are around the house, BUT, most pharmacies and convenience stores offer hair ties w/ material over their elasticness, so, there shouldn't be any "pullingness" and hence discomfurture to tieing a pony tail. With them, there's no pain, seriously.
Look into it. Mine are black. There's never a tear (*sob*) Seriously, man.
Q.
Try scuncii *accent mark somewhere in there*. It's a brand available ANYWHERE, and the ties don't have anything that'd pull on your hair.
They're cheap too.
Thanks a bunch.

Thanks Q, I did somemore searching on the net and found out what they were called, and it looks like our local Walgreens carry them. I'll be better prepared the next time I try a tail.
Thanks.

I dislike doing the ponytail....it just makes the fly-aways and flips and escaped strands stick out that much more. That can be fixed with "product" but I really don't like having to gel it up only to strip it away with excessive shampooing.
I much prefer to just hook it back over my ears or leave it loose.
