I am thinking about putting a app for mcdonalds.
but does anyone know what are the rules about hair?
thanks
In the UK I have seen their employees with long hair in tails/bun - male and female so in theory there is no issue.
However it is a franchise and presumably individual franchisees can see their own requirements.
well seeing as ive worked there before, i think i can answer that. If it's clean they don't care too terribly much about your hair. granted you will probably have to do something with it. they let me put it in a ponytail, and then i had to flip it up, under a hairnet and a hat. i could also imagine it would depend on what position you were working at (i was a cashier, who sometimes worked on the "assembly line").

thats the info i was looking for thanks
I have a friend who works at a mcdonalds and he has long hair, he just puts it in a ponytail while he is working.
Seeing as I worked for them for 3 1/2 years...here is the rule as far as long haired men (and i was in one of the top rated ones in midwest so they were really strict)
Men with long hair had to have it tied back and put up in a baseball cap. They also usually will stick you in the grill where customers cannot see you. I had mid back length blue hair for over a year, however they required me to purchase and wear a wig.
So long hair is fine, but don't go too crazy and pretty much don't flaunt it. as long as its given no special attention and you make sure to work your butt off, they really won't care all that much. You might be given some slack jaw for it, but just ignore the corporate cesspool. they are idiots anyways.
Be VERYYYY careful.
I worked at Mcdonald's. Had to shave off my 4 inch long hair. Had me swearing all summer. So yeah I hope that's help enough! :P
