Hi guys, I've been trying to let my hair grow for 3 months now and I'm a little puzzled on what to do. My hair is thick and curly and now it is getting a little longer, (I can now pull it towards the tip of my nose) I'm starting to get a little unsure if I will be able to let it grow to the length I was aiming for.
It now looks a little weird and funny, (I feel that my hair is 'lying' on my head instead of hanging) and I'm afraid I'll end with one hell of an ugly afro.
What should I do? Just cut it and forget about long hair or are there a couple of tricks that could help me reach my goal?
Thanks in advance :)
hey dude i would just wear a hat or beanie until it starts to get longer cause when it gets long enough itll drag down and look great and from then on it will keep growing longer and longer without looking like an afro, and also get some leave in conditioner treatment you can get it at any local grocery or drug store you just rub it in your hair and comb it through let me know how it goes!
So it's perfectly possible to grow long hair if you have thick, curly hair?
def man i seen a dude with ur hair type grow it to the middle of his back like a few on here did, your gonna have a rough middle stage but itll be worth it once it gets long enough just gotta be patient and let it grow and dont look in the mirror and worry about it for a while! :) like i said just wear a hat while its in the middle stage so you wont notice it as much and once its long let it breathe !
You just made my day mate
Thanks a lot :P
If I can ask one more thing, some people say, after your hair is washed (and is still wet) you shouldn't comb your curls out but just leave it like that and let it grow. What do I do? Comb my hair or let my curls stay in and don't comb at all?
Very much so - and it can be some of the most attractive hair imaginable.
Hey don't worry, I have thick curly hair and it's roughly the same length as yours right now. Unfortunately you do get a bit of an afro until the end of the awkward stage, but then the afro kinda moves downwards and all is well. :)
Patience, patience..
