sorry i am new, but i had to post a pic. i love Brian Fair's (Shadows Fall) dreads. i am pretty sure its all his hair. even if its not, gotta give him credit =).
O_O nice one, although I dont like dreads myself, very nice job :D
lol i have to admit, i am not a big dread fand either. i cant imagine having them or trying to grow them. i like his tho, and its just not bc i am a girl. =P
Really nice job, but I'm not big dread fun too.
Holy Bejeezus that's a kickass pic! I'd hate to have to wash it though o.o imagine how long it'd take to dry!
Hey Aubrey, hiya! I had meant to welcome you earlier, even though I'm feeling less welcome these days (thanx, Mr. Bellicose). But yeah, Mr. Fair of Shadows Fall has the most awesome dreadlocks I've ever seen. And he's an amazing singer to boot! Awesome dreads, awesome music. Here's me in a photo montage (poor quality, I apologise) fr. '91 when I gave dreadlocks a go.
Well, you can find pics of me elsewhere on the board here w/ my naturally long hair. But as it turned out, dreadlocks were too high maintenance for me to maintain.
It's back to long, long, long hair for me, w/o the severe torment required to make dreadslocks. No offence to dredz in the audince. I, myself, just couldn't keep up. Thanks.
Cranking it up to "11" (Spinal Tap ref.) and in the middle of growing it back to belt length,

Very interesting pic. Satanic overtones and all. haha!

ty so very much for the welcome =). the dreads did look good, but i agree with the too much upkeep. i def. couldnt do it. i have naturally curly hair already. that keeps me busy enough as it is!
ty again =) and gl on the hair. guys r lucky, great hair and long lashes. not fair!
Like several others, I am not a fan of dreads, but I still think his super long ones are pretty awesome. How do you get dreads? Do you just not wash or untangle your hair ever, or do you put something in it to make the dreads?

Too much for me to bother with anymore, BUT, it was an experience for as long as it lasted for me. I suppose it was because, when I was a dred, I was of the Goth dredz school. Then again, I did 'em all the way back in '91 and I was seeeing a lovely Gothette at the time. Boy, oh boy, relationships and hair style canges! I hope this answers your question, Garth.
Q.
A place for dreadlocks making and maintenance.
Thanks, that answers my question. I still don't plan on ever getting dreads though.
Here's another great dreadlock "how-to."
DREADLOCK TUTORIAL WITH VIDEO
Terrific !!
It's not often that I see "pretty" (:p) dread like this. Sometimes, I think that one day I will try...

If I recall correctly, its taken him about 12-13 years to reach his current length. It is indeed impressive. I think dreadlocks suit some people excellently, and Brain Fair is no exception.
no other words need to describe it
had to add another pic of Brian Fair. his dreads in motion! he can now hit his bass player =P...
this is the last pic tho, ppl will start thinking i am trying to launch a fansite or something!!!
