I've found that half of winning the battle when it comes to styling is knowing how everything works in a scientific sense. I've tried looking on the web for some explanations of what exactly happens when you apply conditioner to hair, but I haven't found anything useful.
PS - Where do they sell the Aussie brand? I've been hearing a lot of good things about it and would like to try some out...
Where DON'T they sell it is a better question.
If you are looking at salons or the barber thats your problem.
Go to Wal-mart or any pharmacy. It's cheap.

Basically, conditioners leave traces of goop on the surface of your hair. If you have "dry" hair, you can use hydrating shampoos and conditioners that will leave bits of chemical (humectants) that attract and hold water. I'm still unclear on why anyone would want this; guess I'll have to ask at school . ..
Other sorts of conditioners deposit various oils and plastics and gosh knows what else to make it shiny, close up split ends, etc etc. As you know, when you wash it out, the effect it produces goes down the drain . . . any changes last only for as long as the goop is in the hair.
I'm gonna see if I can find out more about this . . . you've got my curiousity up . . .
