Hi everybody,
I washed my hair yesterday and since it was air dried this morning I put it in an segmented ponytail because it's getting too long to wear it open at work and such things. But I want it much longer.
Hope to see some comments.
Greetings from Tyskland
Dusk... you have probably the best hair on the board. Love the segmented ponytail look on you!
Looks good. Looks healthy too. Ever think of self braiding? I'm gonna try it. I'm kinda awkward though so I might not be able to learn. Terminal is terrific.
Hi, - thanks.
Yes, I tried it many times, but I'm much too silly for that, I'm always trying...
Greetings and thanks
Hi Dusk,
I think the segmented ponytail suits you hair type very well an d will certainly keep it under control and keep it straight. Do keep it growing.
Cheers,

You have excellent hair, Dusk. I am sure you could grow it to classic length in a few years.

Really nice with the long, straight hair look.
This is also fantastic for motorcycling.
Gotta try it next time I'm out riding. My p'tail is 20" [at the longest. Tapers off at 17"] and whenever I come back from riding, I'm spending more time getting the snarls out... :)

Hi Rick, this may solve your hair tangling as well. It is designed for motorcycle riders with long hair. By minimizing hair damage you should be able to grow your hair even longer.

Scott,
I was wondering how many of those would be necessary for you, at your length..!
One of 30cm length with maybe 6 or 7 hair ties below it. 90% of my tangling is near the top. My tail is just over a meter in length. I use 11 hair ties on it now. There is a photo of me from the back (with 9) from a few years ago. The post number is 220293. These work reasonably well for me for riding my bicycle. On straight downhill decents wind speeds can reach 15 meters per second.

Air drying is okay for some but for those who have thick, slow-drying hair it might be better to use this towel technique:
1. first wrap a towel around the head.
2. Next, make sure the entire length of the hair is INSIDE the towel.
3. Now, using both hands twist the towel tightly and
leave it that way for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Note: Even clean, freshly shampooed hair can produce
an odor if it does not dry quickly enough. The towel technique
will prevent this from happening.
it in an segmented ponytail because it's getting too long to wear it
open at work and such things.
Hi Luckskind,
Wouldn't twisting the towel around your head cause your hairs to twist? Maybe I misunderstand, but I think this would put stress and tension on the hair and cause damage.

You don't twist it that hard. Actually, I can't imagine being able to twist hair hard enough that the act itself would damage the hair.
Your hair looks 2x as thick as mine :<
Looks cool! I'm wearing one right now. =)
