My hair seems to be really fragile. I´m currently not even using combs or brushes, I only fingercomb. Even after shower. I mean I´m very careful with my hair all the time, and yet I have a bunch of broken hairs in the front.
Someone said that hair breaks off while sleeping if you turn a lot? My hair is not long enough to have in a braid while sleeping, though I read that a satin pillowcase helps?
Help please! Damnit, it looks bad to have so many broken hairs. Is there something I can do?
/Erik
I can arrange a picture later.
Hi Erik!
Are you sure that they are broken hairs, and not new virgin hairs that are not as long as the rest? A lot of us have those flyaway baby hairs at the front.
If in fact they are broken hairs, yes, a satin pillowcase will be a great help. Other than that, make sure that you moisturize your hair with a good, slippery conditioner, and perhaps do a light oiling for additional protection.
As soon as it's possible, try to contain your hair with a ponytail and then a braid when it's longer.
Having said all that, my best guess is that those are new hairs you're seeing and not broken ones.
I look forward to the photos.

Yeah, I´m sure it´s broken hairs. They are both individual and in clusters here and there.
Hi Erik
How bad does it look or how much breakage? I have fine hair and have a bit of breakage here and there but figure that's normal.
Try the satin pillowcase idea I too heard that works well.
I'll reserve judgement for the pics.

Hi Erik,
I'm sorry to hear you having issues and it does should like broken hairs and perhaps a pic might help us better and I'm sure it's nothign to worry about. The advice about using a satin pillow case and conditioners in indeed great advice from Franny.
I have a few stray hairs at the front that just love to blow about in the wind as they shorter and it is annoying but you know they will grow longer.
Cheers,

hmmm....
i agree with using really good moisturizing products. if the flyaway effect is really bothering u, the only thing i can think of is to find a product that will tame them.
