Here is a picture of how it looks. It´s newly washed, so it´s a bit extra poofy I guess. Usually the semi-long hairs doesn´t stick up this much.
As I said earlier, I don´t know what to do to avoid this! I´m super carefull with my hair already. It´s not long enough to put in a ponytail or braid either.
They look more like new hairs than broken hairs to me, we all have an "aura" of new grown hairs around our heads!
If you're completely sure it's breakage, the only advice I hav for healthy hair is a healthy life, sometimes suffering hair are the indicator of other lacks -vitamins, proteins, I don't know.
Well, in that case, how can I tell the difference between new and broken hairs?
Hi Erik
An unbroken hair comes to a point at the tip. A broken hair will be blunt at the tip. Have a friend take a good close look at them with a magnifying glass to see if they are broken hairs or just new growth. They look like new growth to me.
Scott
personally I think they're totally new hairs... Everyone has them up on top, and they show a lot more on people with straight hair (or straightened) because they stick up vertically :P. Don't worry about them. They don't look like broken hairs at all.. I was expecting to see hairs with the ends bending at sharp angles, once I mis-treated my hair so much that I had 2 inches of broken hair on the ends that looked like zigzags, God that was horrible...
But in this case, I think you can relax :P. I'm sorry but I think those hairs don't really ever go away... my mum's in her late 40s and still has them sticking up, especially when she blow-dries her hair... Ah well..
Hi Erik,
It looks like new hair growth to me. As hair grows it's going to be off different lengths, existing and new growth. As Scott says it might be better idea to get another person to look at them and see if they go to a point or just end.
I'm sure it's norhing to worry about. I've just got back from a lunchtime walk and it's windy today so I've a touch of the new shorter hair frizzies blowing about.
Cheers,

Looks as if you won't be able to avoid this as it appears that what you are seeing is just new hairs beginning their growth cycle. All looks normal from what I can see.
If these hairs are of great bother to you, just a speck of gel may very well hold them down.
It looks just as I thought it would. I agree with everyone else that it's likely new growth. Everyone seems to have them. The ones that are further back on the head are held down some by the rest of the hair and are less noticable. The new hairs around the face an at the nape really show up, especially for us straighties on whom they often stand straight up.
It looks perfectly normal to me.
I still hold to my original suggestions in your other thread for your hair's protection, especially as it gets longer.
Looking good as far as I can see!

Don't worry, 100% guaranteed, new hairs. It's kind of understandable that men have to discover these kind of things when women take them for granted. :(
I have the same thing Erik, lots of little short hairs and they curl round which is really bad! Also there seems to be an abundance in one area which is odd, but hey don't worry its all part of the growing process.

If you're a sci-fi fan, pretend they're tendrils, like in A. E. Van Vogt's "Slan".
But, yeah, just some gel or hairspray will keep them down.
oh that's not bad and I remember I had the same issue many moons ago. I'm sure it annoys you but not too worry it shouldn't get horribly worse. i still have a few short ones only now they're gray and they stick dtraight up.
Cheers
Kevin
That is ABSOLUTELY nothing to worry about. That's just frizzy hair that sticks up from your scalp. Don't worry about that at all :D
