Here's an interesting article about forensic science as it relates to long hair.
Long hair science
We have a well, so we don't drink the same water as most people. OTOH, maybe it all comes from the same source (rain)?
I think you've been using the acronym OTOH too much lately =P
AFAIK, there isn't a limit, ROTFLMAO!
IIRC, the law of "Reductio at OTOH" necessarily presumes an implosion of the universe if OTOH is used too many times...
This also fits in with the whole leaving a hair at a crime scene scenario.
This is the primary reason I ended up not becoming a professional assassin - I wanted to keep my hair. Professional assassins usually end up shaving their head (stereotypically anyway, look at agent 47).
Me too, Monsieur Vampiro, that's why I enter into relationships with willing donors. LOL! Seen my avatar lately?
Q.
So... Does this mean you're just an amateur assassin? ~grin~
Ahh, so thats why so many people here seem to be cutting their locks.
"They only gathered samples from cities with 100,000 or fewer people to ensure that hair samples were from local residents rather than tourists."
What? Tourists don't travel to cities with less 100,000 people?
Oops...someone forgot to tell me that when I went to visit a number of small towns/cities to the north of here.
very interesting article =), ty for posting it up...
i can see how it may help, when it comes to identifying bodies and such. it could help in catching the perp...
then again, if the person has shaved all their body hair and is wearing a wig. wouldnt help that much. now the best "hair" evidence u can get is when a hair is left behind with the root. without the root, there really isnt much to go on. something else that is really cool, is looking at dyed hair under the microscope. its very shiny and can really point out who r the true blondes =P
sorry to ramble on =)
tc and ty again!
Aubrey
Very, very astute observations on this thread, Aubrey. I really wish that I could get this one forensic CSI I know ta contrib, but, he's not a member here (even though he IS longhair'd, double, triple exclamation point) as hair follicles have more DNA evidence than you can shake a stick at. Watch those sheddings in your brush, people. I smell a framing. LOL!
That Q. guy in NY
lol that would be cool =)... back in the day i was a CJ major. we had to do castings, micro work, photograpy, collections, prints, and cs sketchings. forensics is very interesting, i loved the classes. really makes ya think tho, there r some real evil ppl out there.
ne kind of dna evidence is really interesting, but can sometimes muck up an investigation. tool marks and prints can be more helpful. so, Q, check out prints =) very interesting stuff!
