... for NOT cutting off one's hair:
The following is a bit "off-color," so I apologize to any easily-offended readers.
This is one that I used back in the day, when my hair was long. Someone (it may have been my father) told me I should get a haircut. I responded, "I can't do it. I'm a genetic freak. My hair and testicles share the same heart. Removing my hair would cause my balls to shrivel up and fall off."
Well, I did eventually cut my hair, but not because anyone told me to do so. I'm also the father of four children, so I guess my medical self-diagnosis wasn't quite accurate, either. Metaphorically speaking, though, it still feels very true. It takes real BALLS for a man in our society to grow and maintain long hair!
Happy Monday, everyone!

. . . albeit a tad equivocal. Please, Val, do stand-up comedy, will ya? Your sense of humor is legend. Or, at the very least, write professionally, m'kay? Ya could've helped to end the writers' strike much earlier.
And now, may I present, for your visual arts delectation, the at once beautifully grotesque and disturbingly serene paintings of one of the co-founders of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism, viewable here:

Talk about "off color", Validus! Although now in his seventies, his creativity is, I daresay, unrestrainable. His son, Michael, like me, now in his fifties, paints quite more accessible portraits, tableaux, and landscapes. Enjoy. I sure did.
Yours in humor, esotericism, art, long hair,
